There are several ways to approach debt consolidation. First call BALANCE, they are a credit counseling service free to our members who can assist you with putting a plan together to  create a spending plan, eliminate your debt and get you caught up on payments. After speaking with BALANCE and getting your payments up to date, visit with an AMOCO Federal Credit Union FSR and talk about a debt consolidation loan. With a debt consolidation loan you can combine all of your payments into one with one low rate with a set term. Another option might be if you have a car that is paid off, and meets the criteria, you might me able to borrow against the value of that car and receive an even lower rate and shorter term.
